neither human nor civilised | resolving a conflict the israeli way
watercolour | paper 110 g/m² | 12 x 16.8 cm

i know many of you, who visit this blog, will not like this illustration. it is, however, my sincere personal opinion although or because i do have very close friends in israel. still, i cannot approve as a human being. my political differences with my friends are grave and serious, but do not harm our friendship, which dates back over two centuries. i grew up in a country with a wall: how can i approve of another one erecting a wall? i am not a children’s book illustrator – i draw and paint what i see, what i feel.

Very powerful — both the painting and the commentary.

art speaks more than words ever can, many truths and subconscious thoughts are brought to the surface by expressing through the mediums of art. Your theme and colours express great depth and thought.

Honesty in art is a special gift! It is a very powerful piece with an abstract pain-glass effect. Pain being the word!. Bravo for your courage. ~pamela
